Paint Calculator
Estimate how much paint you need for your walls. Free, fast and easy to use.
How it works
Multiply the wall area by the number of coats and divide by the coverage stated on the can (often 8–12 m² per liter). Subtract large windows and doors from the wall area for a more precise result.
Formula
L = area × coats / coverage
Worked examples
- Wall area (m²): 60 · Paint coverage (m² per liter): 8 · Number of coats: 2 → Paint needed: 15 L
- Wall area (m²): 25 · Paint coverage (m² per liter): 12 · Number of coats: 3 → Paint needed: 6.25 L
